South Kitchen Renovation
The kitchen is the heart of the home most people say. This kitchen is no exception as it truly is right in the middle of the home – visible right when you walk through the front door. The homeowners started the demo by removing a powder room completely to open the front of the home and allow room for a beautiful island.
We selected a beautiful shaker-style white wood grain cabinet and a shaker style crown molding for a classic farmhouse feel. Along the main wall there is a large pull out spice rack beside the range and decorative hood, a double garbage pull-out next to the sink and a pantry to hide their water cooler beside the fridge. Across the kitchen there are pantries for extra food storage and lower cabinets to create a coffee bar. The bright-white elongated subway tile is extended up to the ceiling for a finished look.
The island is the focal point of this kitchen; a quartz waterfall encases the cabinets on either end. The cabinets are a darker flat-panel wood grain matching the floating shelves beside the sink to tie the space together. The island has extra deep drawers to hold small appliances and has tray dividers on each end to hold cutting boards and baking sheets. The Vicostone quartz tops are a honed off-white finish, making this farmhouse perfection.
